Pride Celebration on June 19th!
We are celebrating Pride online this year! Please enjoy these messages from a few Airdrie Pride board members, the City of Airdrie mayor and some councillors, and phenomenal performances by Alek Gingerbend, Vanta Blaque, Maxime Beauregaurde, NiceHorse, Kaiden Jackman, and Ariel Ulysses.
What is it like to be part of the 2SLGBTQ+ community in Airdrie? What do we need to support and thrive our neighbours? Enjoy this live panel and casual discussion event online on Zoom Sunday, June 27th, 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. To join contact firstname.lastname@example.org for the link.
Ride with Pride
A fun ride with Pride! Starting and ending at Nose Creek Park rainbow pathway. Let’s have some socially distanced fun outdoors. Bike, walk, skate, scoot or use any means of locomotion that works best for you. Thursday, July 1st, 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. for more information contact email@example.com
Pride on Your Porch
Imagine what it would be like for someone afraid to come out to their friends and family because of an old “story” of hate in rural Alberta. Imagine if that person could go for a walk in their neighbourhood or drive down Main street and see just how many people support them.
This year, instead of gathering a few thousand people in Nose Creek Park, we want to spread out the rainbow in all four corners of Airdrie on every doorstep–homes, businesses, and organizations alike. Please decorate your porch or business front with rainbows and pride regalia to show your inclusivity! Be loud and proud, and don’t forget to share your pictures on social media with the hashtag #AirdriePride2021
Join us for a night of guided and casual discussion around the fire for those in our 2SLGBTQ+ community and our allies. This is a free event, just bring yourselves! Saturday, July 10th, 7 p.m. to late. For more information contact firstname.lastname@example.org
